Eiffel 65 was an Italian electronic band, headed by Jeffrey Jey on vocals and bass. Maurizio Lobina played guitar and keyboard, and until March 2005, Gabry Ponte was their DJ. The band name came from a random word generator that produced the word "Eiffel". The "65" was added as a slight mistake: part of a phone number scribbled on a demo tape by accident. Their greatest worldwide success came with their first single "Blue (Da Ba Dee)" from their 1999 album Europop.
